Meaningful Elopements - Intimate Weddings - Adventurous Engagement Sessions
Hello! We are Mike & Jill, your photographers and storytellers.
We are a husband and wife wedding and elopement photography duo based in Washington state. We are committed to photographing love stories that you can look back on and say, “yup, we did that. that’s us.” As outdoor-loving photographers who are passionate about natural landscapes, we believe that these spaces can be part of our stories. Together we will make it a point to tell your love story among the breathtaking landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
When you pick us as your photographers, you will get two individuals that care a whole lot. We care about you getting photos you’d love to look at today and tomorrow. But more than pretty photos, we want you to be able to look at the images as time capsules. As memories frozen in time. We are here to journey with you to make those memories and document it all. We’ll also help you carry your bouquet, zip up your dress, and tie your hiking boot laces (just don’t ask us to tie a tie - we’re working on that)

If you are looking to have a meaningful elopement, that means you are getting married however and wherever YOU want! You want to say your I do’s with just you two. Wherever your heart takes you, we are there with you. We’ve photographed in all manner of locations and in every type of weather. We are a combination of knowledge and experience, as well as spontaneity AND careful planning, all while ensuring we leave no trace on these amazing places.
If you are having an intimate wedding - you want to honor your wedding day with the people you hold close. We’ve photographed A LOT of weddings, let us help capture your day seamlessly.
Or maybe you just got engaged and want to celebrate this new chapter in your lives, let’s plan an adventurous couples’ portrait session. We’ll bring our cameras and snacks. You bring yourself and let’s have fun out there together.
A few things about us:
Mike grew up with a keen interest in photography, thanks to his dad, delving primarily into film cameras. In 2011, our love story began. In an effort to impress Jill, Mike bought a digital camera and rekindled a long lost love of photography. Our dates centered around photography. We would take trips to national parks, taking pictures of everything and anything. It became a huge part of our relationship and of our own individual endeavors.
When we’re not photographing:
Mike is passionate about environmental issues and ecology, whose focus is on wildlife and habitat conservation. Right now he is working on a project studying bull kelp using satellite imagery. Beyond weddings, he believes photography plays an important role in communicating the challenges faced by our planet and that it can help inspire awareness and action. In his spare time, he likes to hike, photograph, and travel.
Jill is an early childhood teacher who is passionate about education, literacy equity, creativity, books, art, and social justice. In her spare time, she likes to read. She also does portrait photography. She loves her role as a mom most of all.
We live in the greater Seattle area with our one year old son, Oliver, and our best friend, a golden retriever named Aspyn.
Together we are storytellers at heart who see photography as a privilege. We don’t just take photos to take them, we take them so we can tell a story. For us, love is love and we want to tell yours in the most genuine way that is true to you.

We offer a fun, stress-free, easy going, and meaningful experience.
Planning an intimate wedding or adventurous elopement can be stressful. But it doesn’t have to be. We are right there with you. We can plan as much (itineraries, locations, location permitting) or as little as you want (we believe that life is best experienced with spontaneity and adventure!) We work on learning what is important to you and make that happen.We’ve photographed over 100 weddings, elopements, and couples’ sessions. We have tons of experience and resources.
We can assist with day-of timelines, location suggestions, vendor recommendations, permitting information, outfit ideas, and more.
On the day of, we are your plus ones. We will adventure with you, walk alongside you, root and cheer for you, and capture all the love between you two.
